By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Effective date: October 23, 2026.
What RepoTrending is
RepoTrending ranks public GitHub repositories by the number of stars they gained. The numbers come from GitHub's public API and are saved once a day, so they can be late, incomplete or wrong. How we rank explains exactly what we count and what we leave out.
RepoTrending is not affiliated with GitHub. GitHub is a trademark of GitHub, Inc.
Information, not advice
Stars are not a measure of quality, safety or fitness for your purpose. A repo can trend because it is good, because it is funny, or for reasons we can't see. We do not check for bought stars yet. Look at the code and read the license before you use any repository.
Sponsored spots
Sponsored spots are labeled "Sponsored" and sit outside every ranking list. Paying us doesn't change where a repo ranks, and not paying doesn't either. The prices and the request form are not live yet. There are no sponsors and nothing is for sale today.
Using the site
- Use the site for lawful purposes only.
- Don't try to break the site, get around its protections, or put load on it that gets in the way of other people.
- You may link to any page. Please don't copy whole rankings or collect pages automatically in a way that loads the site.
Who owns what
The text, design and logo of RepoTrending belong to Lê Văn Giang. Repository names, descriptions and other facts about a repository belong to the people who made them and come from GitHub. Each repository has its own license, which we don't change.
The Trending badge for a README is live for the repositories listed on this site. You may show it on repositories you own.
No promises, limited responsibility
The site is offered as it is, without promises that it is always available, correct or complete. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the site or relying on the rankings.
Law and changes
These terms follow the law of Vietnam, and disputes are heard in the courts of Hanoi.
We may change these terms. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top. Your use of the site after a change means you accept it. How we handle information about you is in the Privacy Policy.
